There’s thirteen miles of coastline to make the most of, with beautiful sandy beaches and plenty of independent beachside restaurants and bars. The town itself boasts traditionally charming Andalusian architecture, giving it a real historical feel. There are monuments and statues dotted throughout the colourful streets, making the town feel so enchanting for its visitors.
There’s a promenade along the beach to stroll down, and the town has an overall feel of elegance and luxury. With its coastal location there’s plenty of opportunities to explore the surrounding bays, even including dolphin watching trips.
January 2022 Episode Estepona
In January 2022, Mark and Loretta were helped by Craig Rowe to find their dream home in Estepona with a budget of £200,000. They landed on a stunning rooftop apartment in La Duquesa, a quaint seaside village just south of Estepona. The Spanish sun can easily be enjoyed from this property, with a spacious rooftop terrace as well as a communal pool outside. There’s also a balcony overlooking the surrounding area.
The interior is open plan, with the living, kitchen and dining space opening into one another to create a light and airy feel. There’s a main bedroom, and two additional bedrooms, one of which opens onto the rooftop terrace. This was valued at £195,726.
The couple were torn between this property and a two-bedroom apartment in Manilva. This one was valued at £200,855, and boasted stunning sea views from the covered terrace. Manilva itself is a small yet lovely village surrounded by mountains, with the beach only a short walk down the road. It means that it’s easy to cool off in the sea, or there’s a communal pool in the property that could be used. Inside the apartment the living, kitchen and dining area is open-plan and white, making it feel generously spacious. The master bedroom has a balcony, as well as an en-suite shower room. There’s another bedroom and shower room inside too.
Craig also found a property in Estepona itself, this being a three-bedroom apartment valued at £178,632. This property benefits from two balconies overlooking the unspoiled surrounding scenery, and there’s even a roof terrace to sit and enjoy the sun. The living and dining areas are open plan, with the kitchen being a separate room. Each of the bedrooms are roomy yet homely, and there’s a separate shower room and bathroom. In Cesares Costa was a penthouse valued at £213,675. Spread over two floors, there was plenty of room both inside and out. Both floors had access to large balconies, and each bedroom had access to its own bathroom.
Jasmine Harman in Estepona
Maralyn was looking for the perfect holiday home with her daughter Nicola, with a budget of £230,000. Jasmine Harman helped them find an incredible three-bedroomed apartment in El Paraiso, at £198,276. It’s on the first floor of a residential complex, with two terraces and access to a communal pool. Inside is light and roomy, and for the colder months there’s a fireplace in the living area. It’s only a ten-minute walk from the beach, where there are lots of seaside restaurants and bars.
Another option was a three-bedroomed apartment in La Duquesa, valued at £198,276. It boasted breath-taking views of the port, and the beach was easily accessible via a short walk. It had also recently been refurbished, with a modern and well-equipped kitchen and cosy living space. There’s a communal garden and private terrace to enjoy too. In Estepona was a two-bedroomed apartment valued at £199,138. It’s situated right on the water, overlooking the marina. It’s in a gated community for extra security, and inside feels spacious so that all can easily settle in for a holiday.
Estepona Place in the Sun with Jean
Jean Johansson helped Laura and Nick find their forever home in Estepona, putting their budget of £160,000 to good use. The property they fell in love with ended up being over their budget at £214,655, however it’s not hard to see why they chose it considering its impressive size and features. The sun terrace outside is graced with stunning views of the surrounding area, this being El Padron which is a beautiful coastal area. There are two living rooms, one on each floor, and three roomy bedrooms.
One of these has an en-suite bathroom, and there’s an additional family bathroom. Recently refurbished, its furnishings were modern, meaning they could easily move right in. The property also benefits from access to a communal pool.
The couple were tempted by a two-bedroom house in Manilva, which was valued at £155,172. It was a detached house, with a lawn and courtyard garden meaning there’s plenty of outdoor space for young children to play in. The living and dining area opens into the kitchen inside, creating a more open and communal feel. The master bedroom and second bedroom are equally light and spacious, and there’s also a separate bathroom.
There was also a two-bedroom apartment available in Villacana, only a 15-minute drive from Estepona. It’s a beachside urbanisation, making it the perfect place for a holiday home. There are five incredible pools to use in this area, which this property has access to. At the property there’s a private courtyard garden with two bedrooms each of which has a balcony. The living, kitchen and dining area is open plan, with lots of windows to let the light flood in. This was valued at £163,793.
